Heat Pumps

Heat pumps offer a solution that is environmentally friendly and easy to install, all with very competitive running costs. As thermodynamic devices, they transfer the heat present in the air to the pool water, to reduce energy consumption. Ideal for in-ground pools, the AstralPool® range is available in various models that adapt to all types of pool.

EVOLINE NN

Air/water heat pump to heat pools of up to 80 m3 in an economical way. EVOLINE pump technology allows you to extend the bathing season to enjoy your pool for more months of the year. Its ability to extract energy from the air allows you to obtain up to 5 times more energy than you actually consume, achieving very low consumption.

  • The higher the COP, the greater the energy gains and the lower the energy costs;
  • The heat pump with the best price-quality ratio on the market.
  • The pump has oversized some components such as the evaporator and the A1 Titanium double spiral exchanger;
  • APP EvoLine for iOS and Android Fluidra Connect compatible
  • Electrical resistance in the lower evaporator tray to prevent ice formation at the base of the unit;
  • APP with free download for heat pump control via Wi-Fi and 3G/4G.
  • Defrost by cycle reversal;
  • Refrigerant fluid R410A;
  • Minimum air temperature 0oC;
  • Works heat and cold to regulate and maintain constant temperature;
  • ABS housing;
  • Digital control, watertight switchboard;
  • High and low pressure switch;
  • Cover included.

HEATING SOLUTIONS FOR POOL

Equipping a pool with a heating solution means to be free of climate change and extend its period of use. heat pumps, electric heaters, heat exchangers - the line of AstralPool products ® allows everyone to enjoy the water at a constant optimal temperature.

Parameters to choose a heating system

To set an adequate system to a pool, need to know the volume (in m 3 ), the period of use desired and the estimated temperature (Co) of the water that the pool should achieve.

These simple will allow you parameters correctly size the heating system guaranteeing maximum comfort at the lowest cost. The choice of heating equipment also depends on the source of energy that will be used.

What kind of defrost?

When the outside temperature is low, the evaporator tends to accumulate ice which reduces the efficiency: this ice should therefore be removed. There are two types of defrosting:

Defrost with fan or economic thaw

The refrigerant circuit is interrupted for a few minutes. Only the fan operates, forcing the outside air to thaw naturally. This type of thawing is suitable for all outdoor pools (seasonal use).

by reverse defrosting cycle or intensive thawing

The refrigerant circuit is reversed: the heat from the water in the pool is caused to defrosting the evaporator. This allows operation at lower temperatures.

How is compared the performance of heat pumps?

In order to compare the performance of different heat pumps, it is essential to compare the power supplied and the coefficient of performance. Two main values characterize the performance of heat pumps: its power and its coefficient of performance.

Power in kW indicates the amount of heat transferred to the water varies depending on three conditions to which the heat pump is exposed for. their use:. outdoor air temperature, air humidity and temperature of the pool water

The coefficient of performance (COP) is the ratio of the power supplied to the pool water and the consumption of ener- gy heat pump. for example, a 4 signifi- nifica performance coefficient that for 1 kWh consumed in the electricity meter, the pump delivers 4 times more energy to the pool water, or 4 kWh. So the higher the COP, the more efficient the equipment.

Recommendations to install a heat pump in a pool

The heating system includes "mobile" components (compressor, blower, etc.) whose vibrations can spread and accumulate.

To avoid or reduce disturbances should be followed some installation rules:

  • To promote the open spaces (avoid corners or inner courtyards), because the sound waves coming from all sides of the system are reflected by surfaces.
  • Do not install the system under or in front of a window.
  • Relative to neighboring properties:

    • Install as far away from the boundaries of the property system.
    • The fan should not point to neighboring properties.

Full Inverter Technology

Inverter technology allows a heat pump change its power mode depending on the temperature of the pool water and weather conditions.

So operates to get the best efficiency at the lowest noise level.

3 modes of operation:

1. Silent: Ideal to maintain the temperature or overnight

  • The heat pump works with low power
  • The compressor operates at low speed ranges to minimize power consumption • Lower noise and higher COP

2. Smart: Normal use

  • The compressor operates intelligently from low to high speeds
  • Lower noise and power consumption

3. Powerful: Ideal to start the season or operate in cold conditions

  • The heat pump operates at high power
  • The compressor operates at high speed ranges to heat the pool faster
  • Maximum heating power

Vertical Blow
The vertical air blowing is typically suitable for small spaces, since a reduced free area around the unit is required .

Automatic heating / cooling mode The heat pump will automatically switch from heat mode to cool mode to stabilize the temperature in the desired range.

Soft Start

In the absence of inverter technology for high power units, the soft start will avoid surge in the compressor start, thus preventing the fuse / circuit breaker tripping and ensuring the viability of the components.
